Principal's Message

Polaris Montessori School is a Montessori School located at 7005 Gladstone Drive. Our school is a choice school which provides education that uphold the values of Maria Montessori. This school harmonizes the best of Montessori philosophy core principles with the BC curriculum for our students.  Montessori Education combines freedom with responsibility, a more active role for the children in their own learning, high standards of academic excellence, social awareness and moral development, and a vision of humanity and its accomplishments that inspire children to take their place in their communities when the time comes as responsible, contributing adults. It is a philosophy that honours the students rights to be self-directed, self monitoring, and risktakers. We strive to create a culture where everyone feels connected, included, cared for, respected, safe and happy.

Our beliefs were adopted through a whole school community participation during the Fall of 2014. The beliefs were created and worded by students with staff support and voted on by both staff and students.
